UPSTREAM: arm64/arm: arm_pmuv3: perf: Don't truncate 64-bit registers
The driver used to truncate several 64-bit registers such as PMCEID[n]
registers used to describe whether architectural and microarchitectural
events in range 0x4000-0x401f exist. Due to discarding the bits, the
driver made the events invisible, even if they existed.
Moreover, PMCCFILTR and PMCR registers have additional bits in the upper
32 bits. This patch makes them available although they aren't currently
used. Finally, functions handling PMXEVCNTR and PMXEVTYPER registers are
removed as they not being used at all.

UPSTREAM: ARM: perf: Allow the use of the PMUv3 driver on 32bit ARM
The only thing stopping the PMUv3 driver from compiling on 32bit is the lack of defined system registers names and the handful of required helpers. This is easily solved by providing the sysreg accessors and updating the Kconfig entry. UPSTREAM: ARM: Make CONFIG_CPU_V7 valid for 32bit ARMv8 implementations
ARMv8 is a superset of ARMv7, and all the ARMv8 features are discoverable with a set of ID registers. It means that we can use CPU_V7 to guard ARMv8 features at compile time. This commit simply amends the CPU_V7 configuration symbol comment to reflect that CPU_V7 also covers ARMv8. The USB DP/DM HS PHY interrupts need to be provided by the PDC interrupt
controller in order to be able to wake the system up from low-power
states and to be able to detect disconnect events, which requires
triggering on falling edges.
A recent commit updated the trigger type but failed to change the
interrupt provider as required. This leads to the current Linux driver
failing to probe instead of printing an error during suspend and USB
wakeup not working as intended.

The kernel hangs for a good 12 seconds without any info being printed to
dmesg, very early in the boot process, if this regulator is not enabled.
Force-enable it to work around this issue, until we know more about the
underlying problem.

ARM: dts: stm32: don't mix SCMI and non-SCMI board compatibles

The binding erroneously decreed that the SCMI variants of the ST
evaluation kits are compatible with the non-SCMI variants.
This is not correct, as a kernel or bootloader compatible with the non-SCMI
variant is not necessarily able to function, when direct access
to resources is replaced by having to talk SCMI to the secure monitor.
The binding has been adjusted to reflect thus, so synchronize the device
trees now.

[ Upstream commit 9b6a51aab5f5f9f71d2fa16e8b4d530e1643dfcb ] With subtle timings changes, we can now sometimes get an external abort on non-linefetch error booting am3 devices at sysc_reset(). This is because of a missing reset delay needed for the usb target module. ARM: OMAP2+: Fix null pointer dereference and memory leak in omap_soc_device_init

kasprintf() returns a pointer to dynamically allocated memory which can
be NULL upon failure. When 'soc_dev_attr->family' is NULL,it'll trigger
the null pointer dereference issue, such as in 'soc_info_show'.
And when 'soc_device_register' fails, it's necessary to release
'soc_dev_attr->family' to avoid memory leaks.

The timer nodes declare compatibility with "fsl,imx6sx-gpt", which

ARM: imx: Check return value of devm_kasprintf in imx_mmdc_perf_init

devm_kasprintf() returns a pointer to dynamically allocated memory
which can be NULL upon failure. Ensure the allocation was successful
by checking the pointer validity.
Release the id allocated in 'mmdc_pmu_init' when 'devm_kasprintf'
return NULL

xen: simplify evtchn_do_upcall() call maze

There are several functions involved for performing the functionality
of evtchn_do_upcall():
- __xen_evtchn_do_upcall() doing the real work
- xen_hvm_evtchn_do_upcall() just being a wrapper for
__xen_evtchn_do_upcall(), exposed for external callers
- xen_evtchn_do_upcall() calling __xen_evtchn_do_upcall(), too, but
without any user
Simplify this maze by:
- removing the unused xen_evtchn_do_upcall()
- removing xen_hvm_evtchn_do_upcall() as the only left caller of
__xen_evtchn_do_upcall(), while renaming __xen_evtchn_do_upcall() to
xen_evtchn_do_upcall()

arm/xen: fix xen_vcpu_info allocation alignment

xen_vcpu_info is a percpu area than needs to be mapped by Xen.
Currently, it could cross a page boundary resulting in Xen being unable
to map it:

Fix the issue by using __alloc_percpu and requesting alignment for the
