dc99dfa2ba iio: light: opt3001: add missing full-scale range value
commit 530688e39c644543b71bdd9cb45fdfb458a28eaa upstream.

The opt3001 driver uses predetermined full-scale range values to
determine what exponent to use for event trigger threshold values.
The problem is that one of the values specified in the datasheet is
missing from the implementation. This causes larger values to be
scaled down to an incorrect exponent, effectively reducing the
maximum settable threshold value by a factor of 2.

Add missing full-scale range array value.

bf3ab8e1c2 iio: light: veml6030: fix IIO device retrieval from embedded device
commit c7c44e57750c31de43906d97813273fdffcf7d02 upstream.

The dev pointer that is received as an argument in the
in_illuminance_period_available_show function references the device
embedded in the IIO device, not in the i2c client.

dev_to_iio_dev() must be used to accessthe right data. The current
implementation leads to a segmentation fault on every attempt to read
the attribute because indio_dev gets a NULL assignment.

This bug has been present since the first appearance of the driver,
apparently since the last version (V6) before getting applied. A
constant attribute was used until then, and the last modifications might
have not been tested again.

2d06787b70 iio: light: veml6030: fix ALS sensor resolution
commit c9e9746f275c45108f2b0633a4855d65d9ae0736 upstream.

The driver still uses the sensor resolution provided in the datasheet
until Rev. 1.6, 28-Apr-2022, which was updated with Rev 1.7,
28-Nov-2023. The original ambient light resolution has been updated from
0.0036 lx/ct to 0.0042 lx/ct, which is the value that can be found in
the current device datasheet.

Update the default resolution for IT = 100 ms and GAIN = 1/8 from the
original 4608 mlux/cnt to the current value from the "Resolution and
maximum detection range" table (Application Note 84367, page 5), 5376
mlux/cnt.

1ea56cd9a6 iio: adc: ad7606: fix oversampling gpio array
[ Upstream commit 8dc4594b54dbaaba40dc8884ad3d42083de39434 ]

gpiod_set_array_value was misused here: the implementation relied on the
assumption that an unsigned long was required for each gpio, while the
function expects a bit array stored in "as much unsigned long as needed
for storing one bit per GPIO", i.e it is using a bit field.

This leaded to incorrect parameter passed to gpiod_set_array_value, that
would set 1 value instead of 3.
It also prevents to select the software mode correctly for the AD7606B.

d0d3edb56e iio: adc: ad7124: fix chip ID mismatch
commit 96f9ab0d5933c1c00142dd052f259fce0bc3ced2 upstream.

The ad7124_soft_reset() function has the assumption that the chip will
assert the "power-on reset" bit in the STATUS register after a software
reset without any delay. The POR bit =0 is used to check if the chip
initialization is done.

A chip ID mismatch probe error appears intermittently when the probe
continues too soon and the ID register does not contain the expected
value.

Fix by adding a 200us delay after the software reset command is issued.

59a84bcf1c iio: chemical: bme680: Fix sensor data read operation
commit 4241665e6ea063a9c1d734de790121a71db763fc upstream.

A read operation is happening as follows:

a) Set sensor to forced mode
b) Sensor measures values and update data registers and sleeps again
c) Read data registers

In the current implementation the read operation happens immediately
after the sensor is set to forced mode so the sensor does not have
the time to update properly the registers. This leads to the following
2 problems:

1) The first ever value which is read by the register is always wrong
2) Every read operation, puts the register into forced mode and reads
the data that were calculated in the previous conversion.

This behaviour was tested in 2 ways:

1) The internal meas_status_0 register was read before and after every
read operation in order to verify that the data were ready even before
the register was set to forced mode and also to check that after the
forced mode was set the new data were not yet ready.

2) Physically changing the temperature and measuring the temperature

This commit adds the waiting time in between the set of the forced mode
and the read of the data. The function is taken from the Bosch BME68x
Sensor API [1].

commit fdd478c3ae98c3f13628e110dce9b6cfb0d9b3c8 upstream.

There are cases in the compensate functions of the driver that
there could be overflows of variables due to bit shifting ops.
These implications were initially discussed here [1] and they
were mentioned in log message of Commit 1b3bd85927 ("iio:

commit ae1f7b93b52095be6776d0f34957b4f35dda44d9 upstream.

The IIO standard units are measured in kPa while the driver

Apart from checking the userspace value itself, it is mentioned also
in the Bosch API [1] that the pressure value is in Pascal.

9d4dce5870 iio: dac: ad5592r: fix temperature channel scaling value
commit 279428df888319bf68f2686934897301a250bb84 upstream.

The scale value for the temperature channel is (assuming Vref=2.5 and
the datasheet):

    376.7897513

When calculating both val and val2 for the temperature scale we
use (3767897513/25) and multiply it by Vref (here I assume 2500mV) to
obtain:

  2500 * (3767897513/25) ==> 376789751300

Finally we divide with remainder by 10^9 to get:

    val = 376
    val2 = 789751300

However, we return IIO_VAL_INT_PLUS_MICRO (should have been NANO) as
the scale type. So when converting the raw temperature value to the
'processed' temperature value we will get (assuming raw=810,
offset=-753):

    processed = (raw + offset) * scale_val
              = (810 + -753) * 376
	      = 21432

    processed += div((raw + offset) * scale_val2, 10^6)
              += div((810 + -753) * 789751300, 10^6)
	      += 45015
    ==> 66447
    ==> 66.4 Celcius

instead of the expected 21.5 Celsius.

Fix this issue by changing IIO_VAL_INT_PLUS_MICRO to
IIO_VAL_INT_PLUS_NANO.

be76107dc4 iio: pressure: dps310: support negative temperature values
[ Upstream commit 9dd6b32e76ff714308964cd9ec91466a343dcb8b ]

The current implementation interprets negative values returned from
`dps310_calculate_temp` as error codes.
This has a side effect that when negative temperature values are
calculated, they are interpreted as error.

Fix this by using the return value only for error handling and passing a
pointer for the value.

e2648b3d17 iio: accel: mxc4005: Interrupt handling fixes
commit 57a1592784d622ecee0b71940c65429173996b33 upstream.

There are 2 issues with interrupt handling in the mxc4005 driver:

1. mxc4005_set_trigger_state() writes MXC4005_REG_INT_MASK1_BIT_DRDYE
(0x01) to INT_MASK1 to enable the interrupt, but to disable the interrupt
it writes ~MXC4005_REG_INT_MASK1_BIT_DRDYE which is 0xfe, so it enables
all other interrupt sources in the INT_SRC1 register. On the MXC4005 this
is not an issue because only bit 0 of the register is used. On the MXC6655
OTOH this is a problem since bit7 is used as TC (Temperature Compensation)
disable bit and writing 1 to this disables Temperature Compensation which
should only be done when running self-tests on the chip.

Write 0 instead of ~MXC4005_REG_INT_MASK1_BIT_DRDYE to disable
the interrupts to fix this.

2. The datasheets for the MXC4005 / MXC6655 do not state what the reset
value for the INT_MASK0 and INT_MASK1 registers is and since these are
write only we also cannot learn this from the hw. Presumably the reset
value for both is all 0, which means all interrupts disabled.

Explicitly set both registers to 0 from mxc4005_chip_init() to ensure
both masks are actually set to 0.

commit 792595bab4925aa06532a14dd256db523eb4fa5e upstream.

Recently, we encounter kernel crash in function rm3100_common_probe
caused by out of bound access of array rm3100_samp_rates (because of
underlying hardware failures). Add boundary check to prevent out of
bound access.

d173ef1255 iio:adc:ad7091r: Move exports into IIO_AD7091R namespace.
commit 8a0080af84d3fb2423f0b3b55eff666f545eb097 upstream.

In order to avoid unnecessary pollution of the global symbol namespace
move the core/library functions into a specific namespace and import
that into the various specific device drivers that use them.

For more information see https://lwn.net/Articles/760045/

An alternative here would be to conclude that we are unlikely to see
support for the other ad7091r parts in the near future and just merge
the two modules into one supporting just the i2c -5 variant.

653d289060 iio: adc: ad7091r: Enable internal vref if external vref is not supplied
[ Upstream commit e71c5c89bcb165a02df35325aa13d1ee40112401 ]

The ADC needs a voltage reference to work correctly.
Users can provide an external voltage reference or use the chip internal
reference to operate the ADC.
The availability of an in chip reference for the ADC saves the user from
having to supply an external voltage reference, which makes the external
reference an optional property as described in the device tree
documentation.
Though, to use the internal reference, it must be enabled by writing to
the configuration register.
Enable AD7091R internal voltage reference if no external vref is supplied.

1eba6f7ffa iio: adc: ad7091r: Allow users to configure device events
[ Upstream commit 020e71c7ffc25dfe29ed9be6c2d39af7bd7f661f ]

AD7091R-5 devices are supported by the ad7091r-5 driver together with
the ad7091r-base driver. Those drivers declared iio events for notifying
user space when ADC readings fall bellow the thresholds of low limit
registers or above the values set in high limit registers.
However, to configure iio events and their thresholds, a set of callback
functions must be implemented and those were not present until now.
The consequence of trying to configure ad7091r-5 events without the
proper callback functions was a null pointer dereference in the kernel
because the pointers to the callback functions were not set.

Implement event configuration callbacks allowing users to read/write
event thresholds and enable/disable event generation.

Since the event spec structs are generic to AD7091R devices, also move
those from the ad7091r-5 driver the base driver so they can be reused
when support for ad7091r-2/-4/-8 be added.

[ Upstream commit 149694f5e79b0c7a36ceb76e7c0d590db8f151c1 ]

The ad7091r-base driver sets up an interrupt handler for firing events
when inputs are either above or below a certain threshold.
However, for the interrupt signal to come from the device it must be
configured to enable the ALERT/BUSY/GPO pin to be used as ALERT, which
was not being done until now.
Enable interrupt signals on the ALERT/BUSY/GPO pin by setting the proper
bit in the configuration register.

bbba4c770f iio: qcom-spmi-adc5-gen3: Add EOC polling support
In some cases, when an immediate ADC read is requested, the read
may complete in time but the interrupt indicating end of conversion
(EOC) may not be triggered for a long time, leading to timeout in the
API waiting for it. To avoid this, poll the EOC bit at a 50ms
interval while waiting for interrupt during immediate conversions
and continue without waiting for interrupt if the bit is found to be
set. In case the EOC interrupt arrives after execution continues
through a polling check, it will not take any actions for handling
the completed conversion.

1e17feb4ad iio: adc: ad9467: fix scale setting
[ Upstream commit b73f08bb7fe5a0901646ca5ceaa1e7a2d5ee6293 ]

When reading in_voltage_scale we can get something like:

root@analog:/sys/bus/iio/devices/iio:device2# cat in_voltage_scale
0.038146

However, when reading the available options:

root@analog:/sys/bus/iio/devices/iio:device2# cat
in_voltage_scale_available
2000.000000 2100.000006 2200.000007 2300.000008 2400.000009 2500.000010

which does not make sense. Moreover, when trying to set a new scale we
get an error because there's no call to __ad9467_get_scale() to give us
values as given when reading in_voltage_scale. Fix it by computing the
available scales during probe and properly pass the list when
.read_available() is called.

While at it, change to use .read_available() from iio_info. Also note
that to properly fix this, adi-axi-adc.c has to be changed accordingly.

00e916d998 iio: adc: ad9467: fix reset gpio handling
[ Upstream commit 76f028539cf360f750efd8cde560edda298e4c6b ]

The reset gpio was being handled with inverted polarity. This means that
as far as gpiolib is concerned we were actually leaving the pin asserted
(in theory, this would mean reset). However, inverting the polarity in
devicetree made things work. Fix it by doing it the proper way and how
gpiolib expects it to be done.

While at it, moved the handling to it's own function and dropped
'reset_gpio' from the 'struct ad9467_state' as we only need it during
probe. On top of that, refactored things so that we now request the gpio
asserted (i.e in reset) and then de-assert it. Also note that we now use
gpiod_set_value_cansleep() instead of gpiod_direction_output() as we
already request the pin as output.

c7883c9f83 iio: adc: ad7091r: Pass iio_dev to event handler
commit a25a7df518fc71b1ba981d691e9322e645d2689c upstream.

Previous version of ad7091r event handler received the ADC state pointer
and retrieved the iio device from driver data field with dev_get_drvdata().
However, no driver data have ever been set, which led to null pointer
dereference when running the event handler.

Pass the iio device to the event handler and retrieve the ADC state struct
from it so we avoid the null pointer dereference and save the driver from
filling the driver data field.
