simple_realloc() frees the original buffer (ptr) even if the
reallocation failed.
Fix it to behave like standard realloc() and only free the original
buffer if the reallocation succeeded.

It looks like U-Boot fails to start the kernel properly when the
compatible string of the board isn't fsl,T1040RDB, so stop overriding it
from the rev-a.dts.

There aren't enough resources to run these ports at 10G speeds. Disable
10G for these ports, reverting to the previous speed.

Commit 2eb2800643 ("powerpc/e500v2: Add Power ISA properties to comply
with ePAPR 1.1") introduced new include file e500v2_power_isa.dtsi and
should have used it for all e500v2 platforms. But apparently it was used
also for e500v1 platforms mpc8540, mpc8541, mpc8555 and mpc8560.
e500v1 cores compared to e500v2 do not support double precision floating
point SPE instructions. Hence power-isa-sp.fd should not be set on e500v1
platforms, which is in e500v2_power_isa.dtsi include file.
Fix this issue by introducing a new e500v1_power_isa.dtsi include file and
use it in all e500v1 device tree files.

uImage boot wrapper should not use SPE instructions, like kernel itself.
Boot wrapper has already disabled Altivec and VSX instructions but not SPE.
Options -mno-spe and -mspe=no already set when compilation of kernel, but
not when compiling uImage wrapper yet. Fix it.

of internal delays for correct work.

On board rev A, the network interface labels for the switch ports
written on the front panel are different than on rev B and later.
This patch fixes network interface names for the switch ports according
to labels that are written on the front panel of the board rev B.
They start from ETH3 and end at ETH10.
This patch also introduces a separate device tree for rev A.
The main device tree is supposed to cover rev B and later.

scheme for i2c bus recovery will not work (A-004447). A different
mechanism is needed which is documented in the P1010 Chip Errata Rev L.

The lkp robot reported that some configs fail to build, for example
mpc85xx_smp_defconfig, with:
cc1: fatal error: opening output file arch/powerpc/boot/dts/fsl/.mpc8540ads.dtb.dts.tmp: No such file or directory
This bisects to:
cc8a51ca6f ("kbuild: always create directories of targets")
Although that commit claims to be about in-tree builds, it somehow
breaks out-of-tree builds. But presumably it's just exposing a latent
bug in our Makefiles.
We can fix it by adding to targets for dts/fsl in the same way that we
do for dts.

PowerPC 601 has been retired.
Remove all associated specific code.
CPU_FTRS_PPC601 has CPU_FTR_COHERENT_ICACHE and CPU_FTR_COMMON.
CPU_FTR_COMMON is already present via other CPU_FTRS.
None of the remaining CPU selects CPU_FTR_COHERENT_ICACHE.
So CPU_FTRS_PPC601 can be removed from the possible features,
hence can be removed completely.

Define the network interface names for the switch ports and hook them up
to the 2 QSGMII PHYs that are onboard.
A conscious decision was taken to go along with the numbers that are
written on the front panel of the board and not with the hardware
numbers of the switch chip ports.

As of commit 147c05168f ("powerpc/boot: Add support for 64bit little
endian wrapper") the comment in the Makefile is misleading. The wrapper

This just adds the zl2006 voltage regulators / power monitors and the
onboard I2C eeproms. The ICS9FG108 clock chip doesn't seem to have a
driver, so it is left in the DTS as a comment. And for good measure,
the SPD eeproms are tagged as such.

Commit 866bfc75f4 ("powerpc: conditionally compile platform-specific

doesn't exist.

PowerPC always re-builds DTB even if nothing has been changed.
As for other architectures, arch/*/boot/dts/Makefile builds DTB by
using the dtb-y syntax.
In contrast, arch/powerpc/boot/dts/(fsl/)Makefile does nothing unless
CONFIG_OF_ALL_DTBS is defined. Instead, arch/powerpc/boot/Makefile
builds DTB on demand. You need to add DTB to 'targets' explicitly
so .*.cmd files are included.

With CONFIG_OF_ALL_DTBS=y, as set by eg. allmodconfig, we see lots of
warnings about our dts files, such as:
arch/powerpc/boot/dts/glacier.dts:492.26-532.5:
Warning (pci_bridge): /plb/pciex@d00000000: node name is not "pci"
or "pcie"
The node name should not particularly matter, it's just a name, and
AFAICS there's no kernel code that cares whether nodes are *named*
"pciex" or "pcie". So shutup these warnings by converting to the name
dtc wants.
As always there's some risk this could break something obscure that
does rely on the name, in which case we can revert.

The latest Xilinx design tools called ISE and EDK has been released in
October 2013. New tool doesn't support any PPC405/PPC440 new designs.
These platforms are no longer supported and tested.
PowerPC 405/440 port is orphan from 2013 by
commit cdeb89943b ("MAINTAINERS: Fix incorrect status tag") and
commit 19624236cc ("MAINTAINERS: Update Grant's email address and maintainership")
that's why it is time to remove the support fot these platforms.

binding to STB_WEAK. GNU as let .weak override .globl since
binutils-gdb 5ca547dc2399a0a5d9f20626d4bf5547c3ccfddd (1996). Clang
integrated assembler let the last win but it may error in the future.
Since it is a convention that only one binding directive is used, just
delete .globl.

In old days, the "host-progs" syntax was used for specifying host
programs. It was renamed to the current "hostprogs-y" in 2004.
It is typically useful in scripts/Makefile because it allows Kbuild to
selectively compile host programs based on the kernel configuration.
This commit renames like follows:
always -> always-y
hostprogs-y -> hostprogs
So, scripts/Makefile will look like this:
always-$(CONFIG_BUILD_BIN2C) += ...
always-$(CONFIG_KALLSYMS) += ...
...
hostprogs := $(always-y) $(always-m)
I think this makes more sense because a host program is always a host
program, irrespective of the kernel configuration. We want to specify
which ones to compile by CONFIG options, so always-y will be handier.
The "always", "hostprogs-y", "hostprogs-m" will be kept for backward
compatibility for a while.

Add fsl,erratum-a011043 to internal MDIO buses.
Software may get false read error when reading internal
PCS registers through MDIO. As a workaround, all internal
MDIO accesses should ignore the MDIO_CFG[MDIO_RD_ER] bit.

The DTC v1.5.1 added references to (U)INT32_MAX.
This is no problem for user-space programs since <stdint.h> defines
(U)INT32_MAX along with (u)int32_t.
For the kernel space, libfdt_env.h needs to be adjusted before we
pull in the changes.
In the kernel, we usually use s/u32 instead of (u)int32_t for the
fixed-width types.
Accordingly, we already have S/U32_MAX for their max values.
So, we should not add (U)INT32_MAX to <linux/limits.h> any more.
Instead, add them to the in-kernel libfdt_env.h to compile the
latest libfdt.

Change all phy-connection-type properties to phy-mode that are better
supported by the fman driver.
Use the more readable fixed-link node for the 2 sgmii links.
Change the RGMII link to rgmii-id as the clock delays are added by the
phy.
